The Proper Paint & Paper team is happy to work with your designer, your design professional, or directly with you, the property owner. Our own on-staff designer is also available for wallpaper consultation, including direct purchase, samples ordering, paint color selection, and helping to plan your vision.
We are proud to offer express, professionally detailed measurements for planning. Our prompt estimates contain a detailed scope of work with materials schedules, and guaranteed start and complete dates. About the Owner, Jim Lackford
Jim Lackford is the hands-on working owner of Proper Paint & Paper, which he started in 2004. Jim attributes his successful track record with residential and commercial projects by staying up-to-date with knowledge on designer wallpaper, custom murals, and designer painting products and techniques.
Jim resides in Silver Spring, Maryland, with his wife, Iantha Carley — who is also the company’s designer. The pair have been recognized for their outstanding talents in the recent Benjamin Moore “Faces of Design” campaign.
